Back to work

This week was my first week back after maternity leave, and all I can say is that I survived. I have been dreading this week since the day he was born because I so love the time I had with him at home. I cried a lot this week, but each day it got a little easier to leave him. I have worked out a deal to go part time starting at the end of March so if I can just get through 5 more weeks of full time then I think it will be okay.

I am so grateful for my wonderful aunt and uncle who kept Beckett all week. As you can see in the pictures below he got so much love and attention from Aunt Norma and Uncle Tommy...I couldn't ask for anything more. Thank you guys so much!!! It really made this transition so much better for us. And a special thanks to Uncle Tommy for teaching Beckett how to blow spit bubbles. He does this constantly now and makes the funniest sound...it cracks us up :)

3 month pics

Have I mentioned how talented my friends are? Remember the fabulous newborn pictures my friend Becky took? Well, Beckett was 3 months old this week so another friend, Rachel, took some more pics. They are both so talented, and I am so grateful for their friendship and photography skills.

Can you believe how much our little man has grown? When I have some more time I will post a comparison to see if Beckett is looking more like his daddy or his mommy. Here are some of our favorite shots.

Slumber Party

Beckett had his first sleepover last weekend...and his guest was a girl! I know, I know Sam and I are way too liberal :-) Our friends, Andy and Melissa, needed a night out for his company party so we offered to keep Addison overnight. She was so sweet and easy! I can't wait for the days when Beckett sleeps 12 hours in a row.

But I must admit that I felt like the worst babysitter in the world when I went to get Addison up on Sunday morning and discovered that she was soaking wet. I swore to Melissa that I changed her just before I put her down, and since I didn't hear another peep out of her until the next morning I assumed everything was OK. Oops...my bad!

Anyway...here are a few pics from the night.

Beckett was a little less than thrilled about his first slumber party

Sweet Addison trying to hold his hand...let's hope he doesn't react this way to the ladies when he's older

Mommy to the rescue...who would have thought that poor Addison would be taking the ultimate walk of shame and going home in Beckett's pajamas?

Addison trying to snag the wrist rattle

Addison trying once again to put the moves on Beckett and hold his hand. Clearly, he likes playing hard to get.
